A Weekend of Renewal — and What I’m Seeing in Real Estate

Date: 03.18.26

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a few things that have been on my mind lately — both personally and professionally. Over the last few weeks, I’ve had some meaningful experiences that reminded me how important community, perspective, and service really are. Those themes have been showing up for me in a big way, and I wanted to bring a little of that into this update.

1 – Something Personal
Three Days to Recenter

Recently, I attended a 3-day spiritual retreat at the Mater Dolorosa Passionist Retreat Center, and it was an incredibly meaningful experience. What made it especially memorable was the chance to meet new friends, slow down, and reflect on what inner serenity really looks like in everyday life.

One of the biggest takeaways for me was just how important community is. We all need spaces where we can step back, reconnect, and remember what matters most. I left the retreat feeling revitalized, with a fresh perspective and a renewed sense of gratitude for the world around me.

It also helped me recenter the way I show up in my business. At the heart of real estate, for me, is helping people — and this retreat reminded me to stay grounded in that purpose.

2 – A Business Reflection
Why Community Matters in the Work I Do

Even though this month’s update isn’t centered around one specific client story, one theme has been coming through clearly for me: people want guidance they can trust, and they want to feel supported through important decisions.

That’s one reason this season has felt especially meaningful. The more I lean into service, clarity, and connection, the more I’m reminded that real estate is never just about property — it’s about people, goals, and the life they’re building. That mindset continues to guide how I work with clients and how I hope to serve my community.

3 – Community Shoutout
Getting Involved with the Torrance Chamber

Another exciting new part of my world has been joining the Torrance Chamber of Commerce. I’ve been having a great time attending events, meeting people, and getting more connected with the local business community.

I’m also preparing a short 3-minute presentation for an upcoming event where I’ll be sharing information about the Torrance real estate market, key performance indicators to watch, and how a comparative market analysis can be used in real estate. I’m looking forward to being part of those conversations and contributing something useful to the room.

4 – Real Estate Market Update
Inventory Is Growing — But So Is Pricing Strength

As inventory continues to grow with the usual seasonal shift, I’m still seeing strong signs of pricing power in Torrance. For February 2026 single-family homes, the sold-to-list price ratio remained above 100%, and it was up 1.54% month over month.

That’s encouraging news for sellers. It suggests that well-positioned homes are still commanding strong attention and that pricing remains resilient. In other words, even as more inventory comes onto the market, sellers can still be in a strong position when their home is priced and presented well.

Thanks for staying connected, and as always, if you have questions about the market, your home’s value, or what these trends could mean for you, I’d be happy to talk.

Best,
Dylan Holston
